Maua

This is the debut single by one Eric Zealani. A friend and one gifted in the art of vocalizing his emotions and granting them the ability to transcend ones ears and stick in those deep, dark recesses of our brains. He is a true gift to all.
Give it a listen and comment and recommend a friend to do the same. Let it reach the ends of Kenya if not the World.

Best Friends Forever

Best Friends Forever,
The title we chose,
But what does it mean,
To be “B.F.F's”?,

Should we see each other every day?,
Well at the moment
That’s not possible,
For U and me.
Should silly little fights,
Get in our way?,
Maybe...;
But Only if,
That’s how it’s meant to be..!!

Should we give?,
Should we borrow?,
Should we dance,
Like there’s no tomorrow?.

Secrets, We'll trade.. .
Privacy, We'll invade.. .
Hugs, Smiles,
We'll share.. .
Tears, We'll shed.. .
LOVE, We'll  Show.. .

We know,
That we REALLY CARE,
4 each other is a fact,
We Both Know and are going,
To keep.. .

I smile, You smile...
You cry, I cry.. .
I wish, You wish.. .
You die, I die.. .
If you fall, I'll pick you up.. .
If you call, I'll always Listen.. .

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER.
The PROMISE we made.
And,
I know in my HEART,
That,
It will NEVER FADE...

Addictions

A shot to kill the pain,
A pill to drown the shame,
A purge to stop the gain,
A cut to break the vein,
A smoke to ease the crave,
A drink to win the game……
       An addictions’ an addiction,
       Because in the end,
-          It hurts all the same.

The Blind Men And the Elephant

Some friends of mine decided to visit me one day and brought with them a variety of presents. One of them, having traveled to Dubai in the previous month handed me a small box with a similarly small rock attached to a string. Upon my inquires  as to what it was, all that the fella could say is 'Guess...' And so we began, each of us giving a rather stupid use as well as the reason behind said use. It reminded me of an old poem by John Godfrey Saxe about 6 Blind,Hindu wise men, who when faced with an elephant, and each touching at different parts of the beast, all assumed differently as to what it was.......

It was six men of Hindustan,
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant,
(Though all of them were blind)
That each by observation might,
Satisfy his mind.

The first approached the elephant,
And happening to fall,
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
“Bless me, it seems the elephant
Is very like a wall.”

The second feeling of his tusk,
Cried, “Ho! What have we here?
So very round and smooth and sharp…
To me tis mighty clear
This wonder of an elephant
Is very like a spear.”

The third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Then boldly up and spoke:
“I see, “ quoth he, “the elephant
Is very like a snake.”

The fourth stretched out his eager hand,
And felt about the knee,
“What most this mighty beast is like,
Is mighty plain,” quoth he;
“Tis clear enough the elephant
Is very like a tree.”

The fifth who chanced to touch the ear
Said, “even the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an elephant
Is very like a fan.”

The sixth no sooner had began
About the beast to grope,
Than seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
“I see,” cried he, “the elephant
Is very like a rope.”

And so these men of Hindustan
Disputed loud and long,
Each to his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Thought each was partially in the right
And all were in the wrong.

Flowers

On those days when all is calm outside, the sun's out, birds singing their wonderful tunes, the wind blowing ever so gently and the only thought you have in your head is how nothing could ever go wrong on such a beautiful day as this..... Spare a thought for your friends and even more-so, your best friend and run this through your mind.

Look outside,

It’s a beautiful day.

Flowers have formed,

A splendid bouquet.

Each has been chosen,

                With the outmost of care.

                To bring you a smile,

       Right now as I share.

We celebrate with joy,

                The day of your birth.

I wish I could give you,

                Every flower on earth.

On the fields of happiness,

      These flowers have grown.

Like the years in the wind,

                Each petal has flown.

Please accept these words,

                And this humble bouquet.

                The flowers in my heart,

                I shall always display.
